Facility: Paulding HospitalFT Night Registered MRI Technologist at Wellstar Paulding in Hiram, Georgia, requires flexibility, dependability, accountability, and cooperation. Performs exams safely and efficiently, applying knowledge of anatomy and pathology. Uses critical thinking skills, adjusts technique, and maintains quality diagnostic studies.Core Responsibilities:

• Equipment:
  • Adjusts technique for optimal image quality.
  • Reports and resolves equipment issues.
  • Cleans and maintains equipment.
  • Operates patient monitoring systems.
  • Patient Care:
    • Obtains clinical history, assesses contraindications, and administers contrast media safely.
    • Ensures patient identification, reviews images, and releases patients.
    • Responds to emergencies and assists other technologists.
    • Observes patient condition and evaluates situations for physician intervention.
    • Education and Communications:
      • Explains exam purposes and procedures to patients.
      • Ensures patient questions and concerns are addressed.
      • Participates in employee orientation and training.
      • Documents patient information accurately.
      • Quality Control:
        • Produces high-quality images and follows exam protocols.
        • Ensures equipment calibration and operation.
        • Sends studies to PACS and prints CDs as needed.
        • Operations:
          • Restocks supplies, maintains the MRI suite, and ensures patient comfort.
          • Transports patients, positions them, and helps them on and off the procedure table.
          • Performs patient charging activities and assists with procedures.Requirements:
            • Successful completion of an accredited MRI program or ARRT-R.
            • Certified MRI Technologist or ARRT Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
            • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA).
            • Minimum 1 year of experience.
            • Excellent communication, customer service, and teamwork skills.
            • Ability to function independently and under pressure.
