Job Description:
DescriptionRESPONSIBLE FOR:Facilitating patient care by
assisting the physician during surgery in the Operating Room for
multiple specialties, performing technical and some patient care
duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Functions as a
clinical specialist across numerous service specialty lines.
Assumes additional responsibilities for maintaining surgical
specialties as necessary and serves as a resource. Functions on a
more global level and is more involved in detailed surgical
endeavors related to the surgery department.QualificationsMINIMUM
EDUCATION REQUIRED:High School Diploma or GED andGraduate of a
Surgical Technology Program.Minimum Experience RequiredThree years
of surgical technologist experience.Minimum Licensure/Certification
Required By LawN/AAdditional QualificationsCertification as a
Surgical Technologist Required.BLS certification required.
