The Intern will be responsible for contributing to the development of mobile applications from conception through deployment. The project is aimed to deliver a user-friendly and scalable app called Quantum Fiber for both Android and iOS platforms, utilizing the latest mobile development technologies. The internship will provide valuable exposure to real-world application development and equip our selected intern with the skills to tackle future challenges in mobile development projects.Key Responsibilities:Assist in drafting project specifications and wireframesDevelop and implement key features using Kotlin and Java for cross-platform developmentIntegrate RESTful APIs to enable communication between the mobile application and backend servicesImplement user authentication, data storage, and third-party API integration (e.g., Google Maps, Firebase)Work closely with the design team to transform mockups into interactive and responsive user interfacesUse Material Design guidelines for Android and Human Interface Guidelines for iOS to ensure a consistent experience across both platformsCollaborate with senior developers, designers, and product managers to understand business requirements and user needsWhat We Look For in a CandidateProgram eligibility is contingent on the candidate's commitment for the entire 10-week program. No exceptions will be made.Required qualificationsEnrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university, rising senior level or 2 years of Masters level education status at the start of the internshipGraduating August 2025 - May 2026Preferred fields include but are not limited to: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information TechnologyIntern must be able to work 40 hours per week during the 10-week program (May 30 - August 8, 2025)Proficiency and understanding of:Knowledge of mobile development frameworks like; Java/Koltin for Android, Flutter, React, Native or Swift for IOSFamiliarity with RESTful APIs and integrating backend services with mobile appsUnderstanding of UI/UX design principles and experience working with design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch)Knowledge of version control systems like GitProficiency in at least one programming language: Java, Kotlin, Swift, JavaScript, or Objective-C, DartUnderstanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) conceptsCompensationCompensation:Internship compensation ranges depend on each individual's level of education, geographic location, and experience/qualifications aligned to the role.Hourly Based Pay Range:Min: $26.00/hourMax: $43.00/hourWhat to Expect NextAfter completion and submission of your application, you will be asked to participate in a virtual video interview.
