Job Description:
We are hiring a Sous Chef to assist with the overall success of
the food program and oversee culinary functions.
--- Assist in all phases of planning, ordering, inventory, and food
preparation.
--- Motivate, train, develop, and direct back of house
associates.
--- Adhere to client culture, Health Department regulations, and
company standards.
--- Assist in coordinating and participating in food preparation
and cooking.
--- Assist with planning and creating menus.
--- Control expenditure and perform other duties as assigned.
--- 5 years of related culinary experience, including 1 year at the
management level.
--- Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education,
military, health care, and/or food service operations.
--- Knowledge of food and industry trends, quality, production,
sanitation, safety, food cost controls, and presentation.
--- Supervisory, leadership, training, management, and coaching
skills.
--- ServSafe or Department of Health Certification preferred.
--- Computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including
Excel.
--- Associate's degree in Culinary Arts preferred.
