    • Job Requirements
    • Must have 1 year of Med/Surg experience, ability to jump in and learn quickly.
    • Advanced skills needed: Thorough assessment skills, prioritization skills, critical thinking, and time management.
    • Procedures performed on unit include: General Medical/Surgical procedures and patient population including post-catheterizations without intervention, laparoscopic appendectomy/cholecystectomy, thoracentesis/paracentesis, special procedures performed by Interventional Radiology, dedicated Spine and Joint Unit, stable traumas, hemodialysis/peritoneal dialysis, continuous bladder irrigation, etc.
      • Schedule Information
      • Scheduling requirements: At least one weekend within 4-week period. (May be split up) blocked scheduling case by case basis.

        • Unit Name: Med-Surg
        • Floating policy: Floating within unit's discretion.
        • Patient Experience requirements: At least 1 year of RN experience.
        • Patient Break Down: all medical-surgical patients, orthopedic and spine patients on the designated floor, trauma patients, psych medical hold patients, etc.
        • Dress Code: Grey Scrubs.
        • Unit Guidelines/Policies: Provided upon pre-boarding.
