Voyage - Apply Now Profile Summary:The AVP, Business Manager will
provide operational support to the Head of Investments, the CIO of
Fixed Income, and the Head of Investment Business Management. The
role involves leading and managing ongoing ad hoc projects and
business initiatives, including planning meetings, tracking
deliverables, and preparing reports and presentation materials.
This role is crucial in ensuring that our investment business
support runs smoothly and efficiently, supporting the firm's
business and adherence to policies. Additionally, the Business
Manager will play a key leadership role within the Fixed Income
administrative support team, ensuring seamless operations,
effective collaboration, and the implementation of best practices
across the department.Profile Description:
- Lead efforts to reduce costs and streamline the vendor invoice
and expense approval process across all investment platforms to
include developing and implementing effective policies, championing
new policy ideas, collaborating with business leaders and Finance
to ensure a seamless process, and training administrative staff on
best practices. Ensure adherence with internal policies and
reviewing current practices for more cost-effective results and
recommendations to policies.
- Provide operational oversight for Fixed Income and investment
platforms to include: Facilities related matters such as office
moves, floor planning, and supply management, managing business
continuity planning across investment platforms, issues relating to
IT support and equipment, and permissions / policies around access
controls, in partnership with the Head of Investments Business
Manager.
- Manage and develop administrative assistant team effectively to
provide strong administrative support to Fixed Income members
include:
- Team leadership and supervision: Oversee and manage the daily
operations of the administrative team, ensuring tasks are completed
efficiently and effectively according to roles, responsibilities,
and skill sets.
- Training and Career Development: Provide ongoing training and
development opportunities for administrative staff to enhance their
skills and performance.
- Policy Implementation: Develop, implement, and communicate
policies and procedures for administrative functions, including
travel, expense management, and vendor management.
- Support the activities of the Head of Investments and CIO,
Fixed Income, including effective prioritization and time
management of meetings and other requests, travel management,
management of special projects, and other administrative functions
as required.
- Lead and manage special projects as assigned by senior
management. Act as the primary liaison between the Head of
Investments, the CIO of Fixed Income, and Senior Leadership.
Coordinate and facilitate meetings, handle ad-hoc requests, draft
correspondence, and prepare meeting and presentation materials
using tools such as PowerPoint and Excel. Track project progress
and ensure timely completion.
- Manages the scheduling and agenda for Investments and Fixed
Income Town Halls to include scheduling, event planning, meeting
presentations, and capturing follow-up.
- Utilize and adapt to new technologies and software to enhance
efficiency and productivity.
- Ability to travel as needed to support the Head of Investments
and CIO, Fixed Income as needed.
- Responsible for understanding and complying with firm policies
and procedures while performing the role outlined aboveKnowledge &
Experience:
- College degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Minimum of at least 10 years operational and administrative
support experience.
- Ability to anticipate the needs of the team and proactively
manage the workload required in the position.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, and Adobe Professional is required.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal
skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to handle multiple priorities from various
constituents with tight deadlines in a very fast-paced
environment.Compensation Pay Disclosure: Voya is committed to pay
that's fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for
comparable roles and responsibilities. The below annual base salary
range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in
the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers
incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales
incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to
reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please
note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to
perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the
amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this
posting. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted
salary range based upon the candidate's geographic location, work
experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level
