and have every other Friday off -Job Description: -We are looking
for an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Manager to join our
team at our Advanced Manufacturing Facility located in Huntsville
Alabama. This position will be responsible for overall research and
development for the manufacturing engineering team. -We're looking
to bring on someone with a passion and enthusiasm for cutting edge
technologies in the manufacturing space and a willingness to be a
hands-on leader. -Essential Functions: -
Lead, manage, and mentor a team of
Manufacturing Engineers Develop and implement strategies for
research and development group Prepare and oversee budgets for the
groupDevelop and evaluate all processes and operations of the
production lineIdentify areas of the system that need improvement
Ensure the efficient utilization of materials, labor, and machines
Establish and maintain best practice standards Monitor performance
and quality objectives of Production process Liaise with design
engineering regarding product specifications Create reports and
documents as needed Ability to obtain a US security clearance
-Qualifications: -
Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years
prior manufacturing engineering experience. Graduate Degree with a
minimum of 7 years of prior manufacturing engineering experience.
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior manufacturing
engineering experience -Preferred Additional Skills: -
Advanced Product Quality Planning
(APQP) is desiredLeadership experience is desiredExperience with
Lean Six Sigma is desiredKnowledge of project management tools and
techniques to plan and execute jobsAbility to troubleshoot and
think critically to determine solutions to complex manufacturing
problemsAbility to work well with a wide range of personnel from
production workers to executivesUnderstanding of complex
manufacturing processes and the ability to identify areas of
improvement is desiredAbility to smoothly handle disagreements and
help teams find consensusAbility to motivate and engage personnel
in a productive mannerFirsthand experience onboarding new product
linesProcess Failure Mode Affects Analysis (PFMA) experience is
desiredExperience with Earned Value Management is desired
