Nurse Manager / Operating Room (OR)Shift: Full Time 6am-4:30
pmLocation: Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital, 5665 Peachtree Dunwoody
Road NEEmory Saint Joseph's Hospital Main OR has 15 rooms and 1
hybrid room focusing on endo/vascular. Our General Operating Room
specialty areas include General Surgery, ENT, Robotics,
Ophthalmology (Corneal; Retina Cell transplants), Complex GYN,
Complex Ortho/Spine, Thoracic, and Vascular. - -This position is
full time, 6a-4:30p; alternating days off. -We are seeking a
capable Shift Nurse Manager / Registered Nurse (RN)/ Operating Room
-who has acquired broad experience in caring for patients, and has
developed a sound understanding about the care of a particular
patient population. -Serve as unit representative on various
practice councils and any necessary committees (IP, Quality,
Safety, CAUTI, CLABSI, etc.)On-boarding of permanent and agency
staff members, including development and maintenance of unit
orientation binders. Maintains unit competency for all staff
members (holds annual skills fair) within TJC
guidelines.Collaborates and support Nursing Schools of assigned
students for unit observation.Provides in-services on educational
topics as they arise and in conjunction with annual
requirements.Perform chart audits and 1:1 observation as
necessary.Participate in interviews for prospective new hires.
-Minimum Qualifications:Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
Two years' experience as a RN with experience in the area of
concentration.Must have a valid, active unencumbered Nursing
license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing
Board. BLS required and ACLS may be required in designated
departments. Certification preferred.If promoted internally or
hired externally, the incumbent must complete UCN/SNM criteria
requirements within nine months of promotion or hire, including
completion of Enhancing your Communication HLC#6488, completion of
formal preceptor training workshop and enrollment in LEAP course.
