Description Leidos Electronics Manufacturing is seeking a
talentedQuality Engineer.With offices across the United States
engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Leidos
provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT
solutions. Leidos is involved in multiple contracts to provide
hardware and systems for high energy weapons, launchers,
Hypersonics, and target surrogates for several DoD
customers.Primary ResponsibilitiesList daily duties and/or specific
job responsibilities.TheQuality Engineerwill support mechanical and
electronics manufacturing including SMT and soldering of PCBA's and
assembly integration and testing for aerospace and defense
manufacturing. Candidate will perform program quality planning,
analyze program QA requirements, develop inspection/test procedures
and revies process plans, finalize source inspection checklist,
coordinate review nonconformance documentation and support root
cause/corrective action. Other key duties include reviewing AS9102
FAI documentation, working with DCMA and other government quality
assurance agencies. Collection and reporting of Quality Metrics,
reviewing and approving new drawings, supporting project managers
during design, manufacturing readiness reviews, PDR, CDR, APQP,
PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA, and conducting supplier surveillance
audits.Basic Qualifications
- Candidate must possess a Bachelors degree with 4-8 years of
prior relevant experience or a Masters degree with 2-6 years of
prior relevant work experience. In lieu of a degree a High School
Diploma/GED with a minimum of (10) years of experience inan
ISO9001/AS9100 system or equivalent experience in DOD, Aerospace,
or Automotive manufacturing quality control.
- Candidate must have working knowledge of IPC-a-610 and
IPC-J-STD-001
- Candidate must have experience working with non-conforming
material, performing failure analysis, identifying root cause and
implementing corrective action.
- Must have experience writing procedures, reviewing work
instructions for accuracy and completeness and implementing QMS
documentation associated with AS9100.
- Candidate must be able to review and interpret contract quality
clauses and technical data and develop and document appropriate
quality verification procedures, plans, and work instructions,
including AS9102 First Article Inspection documentation.
- Candidate must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must have demonstrated experience in effectively communicating
within a team environment.
- The position requires candidates to be capable of performing in
a collaborative engineering environment working closely with
multi-disciplinary teams.
- Candidates must be a resident of North Alabama or willing to
relocate to the area.
- Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security
clearancePreferred Qualifications
- Experience using Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office tools
(Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook)
- Knowledge of Systems Engineering
- Experience working knowledge with Assembly integration and
Testing
- Prefer knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 and IPC-J-STD-001 Space

posting date as listed above.Pay Range:Pay Range $68,900.00 -
$124,550.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general
guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
