Job Description:

Responsibilities & Qualifications RESPONSIBILITIES * Assist the Intermediate Network Engineer and on-site government personnel in responding to and managing any tickets, alerts, or communications that come into the Network Operations Center.
* Install, maintain, and evaluate network systems and communications systems.
* Perform technical refresh of routers, switches, and firewall devices at customer sites.
* Deploy device configurations and verify operability.
* Follow up with other government and contractor personnel on outstanding ticket updates.
* Observe the actions of other contractor personnel to capture and assist with ticket updates or notes for after action reviews.
* Provide support to other contractor personnel towards the accomplishment of their responsibilities and duties.
* Contribute to reporting and data analysis of the work done under the CLIN by the NOC. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS * Active Top-Secret security clearance
* 1-3 years of relevant IT experience with specialization in networking technologies, specifically with Cisco switches and routers and resolving LAN/WAN issues.
* Basic knowledge of IP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, Stateful firewalls and encryption technologies. * Working knowledge of network management tools, such as Riverbed, Wireshark, Micro Focus Network Automation, etc. * Working knowledge of web applications, web servers, application load balancers and storage systems. Must have good knowledge of general security tools and methodologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS and access control lists. * Capable of making travel arrangements (Air, Hotel, Rental Car, etc.)
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS * Associates of Science degree (preferred) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related area.
* Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Enterprise Core and Infrastructure certification.
